How to Get Started with your project.

The Rose of Sharon Prayer Garden and Outdoor Classroom/Tree of Life memorial forest is Centered around the Ten Commandments placed in the center of the garden. The Garden is surrounded by plants from the Bible. Purpose of the Garden: Jesus Christ spent most of his time in the outdoors. He spoke in parables about creation, about plants, flowers and nature. In the outdoor classroom it is a place that children and young people can learn in a virtual outdoor setting where the parables and other Biblical lessons can be taught while they can touch, smell, feel and see. The center of the garden is the foundation of law. The 10 Commandments. The children and youth can get a "hands on" type experience as they learn. They can plant the plants and watch them grow. From grapes to wheat. In phase two of this project is a small pond and water falls. The children and youth can learn about the living water, the woman at the well, Baptism, the fishers of men and much more. Again the Biblical lessons the children and youth can experience them in a setting of sensory..learning.

For the adults it also can be a place for Bible Study, prayer, and meditation. The project can be done by the church or the community. It can be a large area or just a small space. Depending upon your funds you can do a fund raiser, have people donate benches, materials and plants in memory or honor of a love one. It is also ideal for a trust fund.
