And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.
I Samuel 18:6,7,10 And it came to pass as they came, when David was returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women came out of all the cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet King Saul, with tabrets, with joy, and with instruments of music. And the women answered one another as they played, and said, Saul hath slain his thousands and David his ten thousands. And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul's hand.
I Samuel 19:9 And the evil spirit from the Lord was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his javelin in his hand: and David played with his hand.
II Samuel 6:5 And David and all the house of Israel played before the Lord on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.
I Chronicles 15:16 And David spake to the chief of the Le'vites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of musick, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy.
I Chronicles 23:5 Moreover four thousand were porters; and four thousand praised the Lord with the instruments which I made, said David to praise therewith.

II Chronicles 7:6 And the priests waited on their offices: the Le'vites also with instruments of musick of the Lord, which David the king had made to praise the Lord, Because his mercy endureth for ever, when David praised by their ministry; and the priests sounded trumpets before them, and all Israel stood.
II Chronicles 34:12 And the men did the work faithfully: and the overseers of them were Ja'hath and obadi'ah, the Le'vites of the sons of Me-shul'lam, of the sons of the Ko'hath-ites, to set it forward; and other of the Le'vites, all that could skill of instruments of musick.

Psalms 33:1-3 Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. Praise ye the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. Sing unto him a new song: play skilfully with a loud noise.
Psalms 43:4 Then will I go unto the alter of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.
Psalms 49:4 I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.
Psalms 57:8 Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
Psalms 68:25 The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after; among them were the damsels playing with timbrels.

Isaiah 23:16 Take an harp, go about the city, thou harlot that has been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered.
