Fear You have heard the saying garbage in...garbage out. Well the GOD WE serve never made Junk. But in today's world we have allowed the junk to fill their minds. What one time was a real HERO today is replaced by sports figures on drugs, comic book characters that make their way into video's, movies that are far from the truth and the list goes on and on. The one time family, is now broken because we simply have given way to compromise, have pulled GODS STANDARDS down to fit our own needs, when we should REACH UP TO GOD"S STANDARDS. It is the pollution of the world that goes into our children that brings change. So lets together get back to the basics. Yes RESPECT for each other, for GOD, our Parents, for life. The BIBLE, we break down into a little saying below. Internal brings Eternal. This program is not candy coated about a journey to a distant land on a pirate ship, or flying around as a super hero for God, or searching for a lost tressure it is written around things that we have allowed the Devil to take away from us and our children. Why children seem to be as I say 'unleashed' unrestricted, is because they have no RESPECT. RESPECT is a key to this program. And the guidelines in the ACADEMY like setting must be lifted up with the serious attitude. This vacation BIBLE School program is by no means boaring, it is fun and filled activities which move along each day to the point there seems to be not enough time. BUT if you are looking for another VBS where children just 'play' and follow themes of the world this program is not for your church. For it is up to us as leaders to establish a foothold, to take the ground back. Let us replace the FEAR factor with the FAITH factor. Lets talk about Heroe's vacation Bible school program is different from other VBS programs. The children are trained around what makes a real hero and graduate from this special school. The program is 5 days of hands on crafting and fun but yet produced around the basics of God's Word...the Bible. The graduation on the last day is a very important part of this program. Just as a student graduates from high school or college, we believe a child should be honored by learning what it takes to become a real hero. Yes sir, no sir, Yes mam, No mam, Children become Cadets. They learn to address the instructors with Respect. This might sound a little harsh but Respect is not just earned it is taught!. The setting of this program is in a Academy theme. The children are called CADETS, the teachers are called, INSTRUCTOR'S and the older children [cadets] are called Jr. Instructors. They help as leaders of the teams. The cadets are address as CADETS and they also are given name tags to where. When addressing each other it is always YES SIR, NO SIR, YES MAM, NO MAM. This is very important. Name badges are important. You can purchase them or simply cut them out in the form of the sheild. Place the cadets [childs] name on the badge and the date of your program. The badges should remain at the church and they wear them everyday. You can purchase them like the one below for about 1.00 each. They go around the cadets [childs] neck. They look real important because we stress that this program is a 'real' program not just another themed VBS. The program setting in your location is set up with the following:
1. Tables forming a U for Unity with a rocking chair at the open end. 2. There are two or more "Teams" depending upon how many children [Cadets] you have 3. Each day there is a opening where the Instructor calls out CRAFT. [This is explained in the program teaching outline] 4. There is prayer, and then the Cadets go into their training. Construction a HERO toolbox, The Shield of Faith, and learning other things like the Quality of a HERO, the LAWS of a HERO and so on. There are activities done each day which include the reading of the BIBLE HERO, and visits from REAL current day heroe's. 5. Each Team designs their own flag for their team, and the Cadets make their own T-shirts with their name on them. 6. At the end of the 5th day their is a commission talk given by your pastor in the sancuary of your church. 7. The graduation is held I recommend on a Sunday during the service or in the evening. Activities Include: Prayer Balloons, Pine Cone Rose craft, Drum Craft, Harp Craft, Hero T-shirt craft, Flag craft done by the whole team, Rocking chair stories, Visits from real current heroes [firemen,police,doctors,military so on], Mud brick activity single and group, Tool cards which go into the Hero Toolbox, Sand activity, Water Bottle,[Living Word of God supplies life to a Hero] Learning the 10 Commandments [Laws of a Hero] 5 finger prayer. And much more. Just like any workman a Hero takes his tools from his hero tool box and places them upon his tool belt. Some of the key tools are, The Bible, The Laws, Prayer, Love, Power, Examples, Sacrifice for others..
Sample of the Graduation Certificate. The Bible school literature that we have produced in recent decades is woefully anemic. It is hard to find material that is strong in doctrine. The current slick and colorful literature is filled with case-study scenarios and role-playing exercises that rely more on human wisdom than a respect for the authority of God’s Word. Lets get back to the basics. A Hero brings change. Change makes difference. Playing in the MUD? The children play in the mud and make mudbricks in this program. The saying "like father like son"? A father is the greatest example to a child today. But it seems that we have lowered God's standards to suit our own view of God's laws. We are taught that Jesus came and we are no longer under the law. How wrong of a lie that is. Jesus came to expand upon the law of God giving a new meaning with the word LOVE. We are no longer under the death sentence of the law. Abortions that is not life, or killing, living with a woman before marriage thats ok, marriage is just a peice of paper, downloading songs, or using other peoples material, hey thats not stealing, broken homes, the laws of God removed from our schools, public places, its ok to have a wicca club at a school after all its white magic, or talk about religion in school but not Christianity. The prophet said, We need Godly Heroes Today starting at the Home. " 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. So we need heroes today, examples starting at home. Twofold, humble and pray. Today our examples have taken on a new meaning of pride and self. Heroes.....How about a FATHER? How do children today view a Hero? Just look at the video games they play. The movies they watch even the T.V. series Hero. But the qualities are they are learning are they really that of a real hero? Does the hero kill the bad guy always? Jesus fought evil with love. One of the most recent Games that both children and adults are playing is called GUITAR HERO. Please take some time and read about this game. This is why we must make a difference, set examples, and train children what a real hero is. First we are blinded by the angel of light of this world. It has been known that the Satanic salute or horned sign is used by devil worship and satanic groups which represent the evil one. The sign at the web site for guitar hero speaks for itself, I invite you to visit it. Just type in guitar hero on your search engine. This program will not link to such sites. Below is the horned sign to the devil. Notice the thumb is tucked under. Not like the sign language for I love you. You would be shocked to see claiming Christian artists, government leaders, and professionals that use this sign. I also invite you to do research for yourself just type in Horned sign on your search engine. This is a spiritual battle we are fighting. A picture paints a thousand words it has been said, this picture and the web site paints just one! "...For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple." -Romans 16:18 It has been said...garbage in....garbage out. Well today our childrens minds are being filled with what the world deems to be a hero. They are taking on the attitude of I for I and me for me, I have to do whats best for me. They use violence instead of love. They dont use the LAWS of GOD because they no longer are taught them. We must stand and make a difference today.
