[Back]                     HOME      C is for Christ

                       C  is HOME

Home. It is said that home is where the heart is.  If   C  represents Home and Home represents Christ, then planting the seed of C into the hearts of children in reference to Christ everytime a child places their thumb on C  they will think of Christ.

A place to rest, to find safety.  Today it is important that we teach children that 'Church' or community worship is to create an atmosphere of 'Home' where Jesus Christ will come and dwell.  HOME is Jesus Christ. What better place to build a solid beginning for children than to start them on the Key on any keyboard to the left of the two black keys. This is Middle C  or HOME.  We stress the word home. When we tell the kids to place their thumb on HOME they go to C.  It is from that  HOME or C that all Christian religion is the foundation. In this keyboard exercise when deal with the letters C and D.  From The forgiver, to the sinner.  From Christ to David. It is important to stress three things. Theres that number 3 again.

1. Chirst is Home, we should build upon a solid foundation and when we get lost we can always look at the keyboard and find HOME.

2. Sin is choice. A mistake is not sin but can lead us into the sin. Temptation is not sin, it also opens the door to sin.

3. David even though he was special, a King, and a musician, he failed God and made choices that caused him to sin.  The point is that everyone sins. Where does a child feel most safe?  A HOME.  So even a King went HOME to Christ for forgiveness.  We want to continue to support the thought and place the seed into children that Jesus Christ is always a place to Go, to rest, find saftey.

In music our Thumb starts on HOME.  We place it to the left of the two Black keys on the Keyboard.   What is the name of this program?    Keyboards for Christ.  What word in this name begins with the letter C?      CHRIST.   Right.  So I want you to remember that your home is  C which stands for CHRIST.

I want you to tap your thumb now on the table 6 times as we spell out the word CHRIST.  Read go,  C  H  R  I  S  T   again   C H RI S T

What is the name of HOME?   C    and what name is that  CHRIST.

Have you ever felt alone?   Yes,  that makes you unhappy.  Did you know that there was a KING that was unhappy. He made many mistakes choices that he made took him into what we call sin.  A mistake is not a sin, but can lead us into a sin.  Remember when we sin it is our choice.

but he cried out to God  to forgive him. Our Chirst is ever forgiving when we sin.  There was a young man who was a shepherd that played instruments. His name was DAVID.    David played a harp for a king and the king became happy with Davids music.   How does music make you fell?  (Wait for the kids to answer. Talk about this for a few minuates)

Did you know music is a TOOL?  It can be used for good things or bad things. Well lets go to the number 2.   Number 2  is  called D.   And what name do you think we are going to give to that key?    DAVID

Here we go   1 2 1 2 1 2   C D C D  C  D  C  D  C  D  C  D

Then the teachers says, C is Christ and D is David  1 and 2
