Wooden CLoths hanger and fishing line, wooden beads

BackThe harp made with wooden cloths hangers, nylon fishing string at least 30 pound and wooden beads for ends you can use steel washers if you like to keep the cost down for this project

NYLON HARP example below

You must pre drill holes into wooden cloths hangers before class.  The Nylon fishing line can be trimmed and the washers tied on (Double Knott) before class).  I recommend that you have an older class from your Sunday School help you make ready this project.  All the children will do is to paint and decorate the harps, pull the strings through and have someone help them tie the string to the eye hooks which are the tunners.  I prefer the Fishing line harp over the brass but you can choose the one you want to use.

finished stringing harp now just paint or decorate your musical harp

You can also use round Wooden beads found at craft stores in replacement of the steel washers. The beads cost around $1.00 for twenty. The harp below uses the beads and is a 7 string harp instead of a three or 4. These harps are not decorated yet. Remember you must pre drill the holes at both ends depending on how many strings your harp will be.
