How does music effect us?Music effects the heart, and the heart changes music

The outer music
Comes from an outer instrument.
The inner music

Comes from the heart.

Music is the inner or universal language of God created for His Glory.

Music effects or wellbeing, it changes our heart rateusic can move the soul. It can be a very strong influence. Some music can calm us down, some music can make us wild! How does music effect us?

Music effects or wellbeing, it changes our heart rateusic is used in a variety of ways. It is used in the medical field as a source of research and as a sort of therapy as well. Music has been used as therapy for seizures, to lower blood pressure, treat ADD children, treat mental illness, treat depression, aid in healing, treat stress and insomnia and premature imfints.

Music effects or wellbeing, it changes our heart rate

usicologist Julius Portnoy found that music can change metabolic rates, increase or decrease blood pressure, effect energy levels, and digestion, positively or negatively, depending on the type of music. Calming music, such as classical music was found to have a very calming effect on the body, and cause the increase of endorphins, thirty minutes of such music was equal to the effect of a dose of valium. Both hemispheres of the brain are involved in processing music. The music in these studies is not the "lyrics", but the music itself, the melody, the tones, the tunes, the rhythm, the chords.

Conversely music has also been documented to cause sickness. The right, or wrong music, rather, can be like a poison to the body. Studies have been done on plants where loud hard rock, for instance, killed plants and soft classical music, make the plants grow faster. Music is very powerful, like a drug and can even be an addiction. In the case of Patty Hearst, it was documented that music was used in the aid of brainwashing her. In the book, Elevator Music, by Joseph Lanza, it states that certain types of music over prolonged periods in certain conditions, were shown to cause seizures.

In the book, The Secret Power of Music, by David Tame, it says, "music is more than a language, it is the language of languages. It can be said that of all the arts, there is none other that more powerfully moves and changes the consciousness."

It can be said that music is a very powerful and awesome tool, that can have positive effects, virtually life saving mentally and physically when used in the right context, but has equally destructive and detrimental potential if used negatively.

Music effects or wellbeing, it changes our heart rateusic can move the soul. It can be a very strong influence. Why teach children music? Our goals as Christians are to be disciples. The word disciple translated means "a pupil" or learner". In the Bible we find a handful of references to teachers and students. What better way to teach children about such a powerful tool. Music, together with the WORD of God. There are 1150 Verses about music in the Bible.

Then sings my soul my savior God to thee How great thou art

David's harp had a significant impact upon the court of King Saul.  His music, though undoubtedly entertaining and exhilarating to the senses, possessed a unique and penetrating quality - it touched the innermost being of the listener - it reached into the very spirit of his audience. David's music possessed healing properties because the Healer (God) was with him. I Samuel 16:23 states that Saul was not only refreshed by David's harp but was also "made well."

Prophecy could be instrumental as well as vocal. Saul met a group of prophets who apparently sang and accompanied themselves on instruments (1 Sam. 10:5, 6). David appointed 228 musicians to "prophesy with lyres, harps, and cymbals" (1 Chron. 25:1-7), music which also seems to have had an improvisational character.  While listening to the music he was given the prophecy (2 Kings 3:15). The term selah, which occurs 71 times in the Psalms.

Scientific research on the neurological and developmental effects of music has fascinated educators and parents with the possibility of children's learning enhancement. Compared to the long history of research on language, our scientific understanding of music is new. Fortunately for parents, enriching our children's lives with music can be easily and pleasantly accomplished. From soft music in the nursery to musical toys and dance lessons, encouraging music involvement in a fun way strengthens children's educational, physical, and emotional development.

Does Music Make My Child Smarter?  Yes, of course it does. When learning a song, a musical instrument, or a dance step, your child experiences the unique integration of body and mind that music provides. Sensory integration is a crucial factor in children's learning readiness for school subjects such as reading, writing, and math. Music improves spatial-temporal reasoning  a neurological process needed to understand mathematics. The best way to enhance your child's learning with music is to encourage listening to and learning music throughout the child's developmental years. Do it in a variety of ways that are enjoyable and fun, then let your child's own interest and aptitudes guide your choices of lessons and activities.
